Hypnotherapy

The aim of hypnotherapy is to elicit changes in perceptions, sensations, feelings, thoughts and behaviours. A hypnotherapist believes that a person’s subconscious is a huge reservoir of inner resources and potential which can be accessed and utilised in the relaxed, focused state of hypnosis. In the state of focused awareness, the hypnotherapist can use your heightened imagination and enhanced suggestibility to deliver therapy in the form of carefully formulated positive suggestions for your well-being.
The individual always remains aware and in control during a consultation. You will remember everything that happens during the consultation and you can easily speak when you are hypnotised.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A HYPNOTHERAPY CONSULTATION

Upon booking your consultation, your therapist will first have a brief telephone discussion to assess what type and length of consultation may be most beneficial. Normally, initial consultations are 90 minutes and follow-up consultations are 60 minutes.
It is important to stress that the individual always remains aware and in control during a consultation.
Hypnotherapy may be used in combination with neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for enhanced benefits.
