Homeopathy

Homeopathy recognises that physical or emotional issues can be part of our body’s attempts to heal itself. The remedies are carefully selected with consideration for the totality of your emotional, mental and physical health. Remedies work on the principle that “like cures like” and are made from diluted natural substances. Homoeopathic remedies are very safe and gentle, so they are ideal for use by pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as their babies and children.

What to expect from a Homeopathy consultation

The homeopath will discuss your current health aims as well as past health and lifestyle. In addition, the practitioner will ask questions to build-up an in-depth picture of the client, what symptoms they have and how they experience them in their own unique way. After this detailed discussion, the therapist will suggest the remedy which seems best suited to the individual.

A follow-up appointment is then arranged to occur within three and six weeks’ time. At follow-up sessions, the homeopath assesses the response to the remedy stimulus, including what has changed, improved or feels worse and what might be the same. The whole spectrum of changes and shifts is discussed. The homeopathic remedy might then be repeated, altered or a completely different remedy given. Consultations are confidential, one-on-one and seated (not lying down on a couch).
